The Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) partnered with ESSENCE Communication to spotlight women of color business owners at the Path to Power Conference. The event took place in July during the 2019 Essence Festival. The conference gave aspiring business-owners a lesson in "leveling up" with insightful presentations on business development and investment. National Director Henry Childs, II was featured on the Power Stage and spoke about the importance of women in business and the critical role they play in our economy.
MBDA hosted a powerful Enterprising Women of Color Forum featuring Mona Scott Young, CEO of Monami Entertainment, and Koereyelle, Chief Experience Officer of WERKPraySlay, who led a conversation on what it takes for women minority business enterprises to reach their full potential. MBDA also exhibited at the Path to Power Pavilion and engaged more than 700 aspiring and established entrepreneurs.
MBDA looks forward to our continued partnership with ESSENCE Communication as we grow our Enterprising Women of Color Initiative.
