The MBDA Internship Program provides a unique opportunity to gain valuable professional experience and build leadership skills. This hands-on program is designed to mentor and cultivate today’s young leaders, strengthen their understanding of the business, government and prepare them for future public service opportunities. Internships are available in the following departments:
- Office of the Under Secretary
- Office of Legislation, Education, and Intergovernmental Affairs - Public Affairs
- Office of Policy and Development
Student Eligibility:
The prospective internship applicant must meet all 5 of the established requirements listed below to be considered:
- Must be enrolled in an accredited institution or a recent graduate within 12 months of graduation
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- A minimum GPA of 3.0
- Applicant must meet the Department's policy on employment of relatives. Contact Internship Coordinator for more information.
- If selected, must pass a background check prior to start date
Interested students must include the following in their application packets:
- Cover Letter (including your internship department preference),
- Resume (including a current mailing address), AND
- Writing Sample (Recommended)

Application deadlines:
- Summer Internship (June – August): Must be received by 5PM ET on April 12th, 2024
- Fall Internship (September – December): Must be received by 5PM ET on July 31st, 2024
